Finding the Right Vacuum for your home and shop

When it comes to vacuum cleaners, they are not all stacked up the same. You also get what you pay for. HEPA filtration is one of the first things you should start looking for when it comes to cleaning inside or even outside your home. Let’s dive into our favorite brands for inside your home or even out in the garage for projects

Inside: Check out SEBO ( https://www.sebo.us/index.aspx) SEBO is like many high-quality vacuums. It is made in Germany and offers some of the worlds best vacuum cleaners when it comes to pet hair removal, allergy and asthma relief and reliability. You are looking for the hospital grade filtration with either an upright or canister vacuum and make sure you select a model that has the HEPA Pre-Motor Microfilter.   https://www.sebo.us/filtration-system.aspx

When it comes to vacuum cleaners Miele is widely known as a top brand worldwide. (https://www.mieleusa.com/e/vacuum-cleaners-1016466-

Make sure if you are taking at Miele that you are looking again for the HEPA filtration units. For instance the Complete C3 Calima Powerline-SCFEO unit as it has that level of suction and HEPA filtration you are looking for. Those little details are important. https://www.mieleusa.com/e/canister-vacuum-cleaners-complete-c3-calima-powerline-sgfe0-10796510-p

Eric G went a different direction with a robotic vacuum cleaner. He has had great luck with the LG CordZero ThinQ Robotic Vacuum. https://www.lg.com/us/vacuum-cleaners/lg-r975gm-robot-vacuum?ds_rl=1294812&gclid=Cj0KCQjw0emHBhC1ARIsAL1QGNdB4DJOSUn9AggSMh-kCoMnkKwIc5InayamaGMoYaLmap8RZR4B_5EaAv-2EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

This also has a five step HEPA filtration unit that does a great job of cleaning floors. It is much more intelligent than many of the other robotic vacuum cleaners.

In the shop:

You want to always make sure you are NOT using your indoor vacuum to clean up construction debris. That is a fast way to ruin a good vacuum.

Both Eric and Caroline both use RIGID wet/dry vacuums Around the House. Make sure you are using the bags and the HEPA filtration to keep the dust and allergens down. For more information about Ridgid check them out here. Always follow the manufacturers directions on when to use the filter and when to not use it. https://nxt.ridgid.com/

When you are doing things with fine dust… Maybe drywall, concrete, or in demolition check out this unit by Milwaukee Tools. This 8-gallon Dust Extractor is heavy duty and is made for that dusty environment and cleans the filter automatically to keep the 148 CFM suction the same all the time. https://www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/Power-Tools/Dust-Management/Dust-Extractors/8960-20

When you are chosing a vacuum inside or outside of your home make sure and pay attention to how it clean the air and what it is putting back into the environment.
